Joe Martin Stage Race

vJMSR Results

What a unique experience...vJMSR did not disappoint this past weekend.  With over 100 riders in each of the men and women’s fields representing over 20 countries from around the world.

The Zwift Community Live platform was used to mimic some of the courses which have been contested over the past 42 years of the actual race.  The race announcers, Nathan Guerra and Dave Towle, captivated the essence of real racing and gave insight into the world of e-racing.  “Having never been able to watch the racing live from start to finish, Nathan and Dave along with the Zwift virtual world, allowed me to see and hear the race in its entirety”, said Bruce Dunn race director of the JMSR.  We also want to recognize the hard work of Eric Hill and Frank Cundiff of Project Echelon Racing Team for organizing and facilitating the three days of racing.  This was the fourth stage race they’ve organized and the amount of work, long hours and tireless dedication to pull off such an event is just as much if not more than directing an actual event.”

Unique to the VJMSR over other events, is that the Leader’s Jerseys provided by Primal Wear for the KOM, Sprint and GC will be presented to each of the winners and they will be allowed to wear them for the opening stage once the real JMSR occurs.

If you missed the three days of action, then go to YouTube and search for Virtual Joe Martin Stage Race P/B Project Echelon.  Also, please go to the https://www.projectechelon.org/ website to see the great work which is being done for our veterans.
