Joe Martin Stage Race
2020 Race Rescheduled
- 16 Jul
Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, organizers have made the difficult but safest decision to cancel the 2020 Joe Martin Stage Race in Fayetteville, Arkansas. 2021 DATE TBA.
“These decisions are difficult but public health and safety are always our primary concern,” said Race Director Bruce Dunn. “We are especially grateful to Experience Fayetteville and our local and national sponsors standing with us to continue in our goal of holding an international stage race.”
Dunn continued, “We are extremely grateful to the pro and domestic peloton for their patience and understanding and their willingness to find a path forward. USA Cycling (USAC) and the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) were supportive of holding the event if we could meet local and state guidelines, but the conditions just weren’t safe for all concerned.”
The Joe Martin Stage Race plans to return in 2021, making it the 43rd year as an amateur stage race, 18 years on the PRT and 6 years on the UCI calendar.
